5 Things You Need to Do to Become Great at Speaking in Front of People
So goes the article of which I strongly concur! If you
are interested in becoming a better speaker, please take time to read this
article it is very well done. Frankly, and not taking away anything from this
author, it’s almost as if I wrote it as it is so close to what I’ve taught in
my classes and in my coaching. I especially promote the point which admonishes
you to (please) use your own stories!!!
If you are unable to take a few moments now to read this,
copy the link and email it to you; it’s that important! Then, I encourage you
to not read it passively but to read it with pen and paper taking notes and
then (are you ready for it?) implement these 5 steps in your presentations!
Here’s the link.
Enjoy.

PS. I would add one other "thing" to this list and that would be that if you are "presenting" using visuals, use Prezi! Click on the pic below to see why I'm so excited about it.
Have
you heard of the Minnesota Professional Speakers Meetup group? It is very different
than any meetup you may have heard about. We meet for gatherings which are
about “fun” and “life”; not “speaking” per se. When you form relationships,
then you build on them outside of the group; we’re not about “learning to speak”,
“getting gigs”, etc. We’re about making friends with other professional
speakers first and building our speaking practices later. More is caught than
taught with us. There are other organizations which “teach”.
We
do however, offer teaching, tips and tricks and “everything speaking” on our
online Meetup group page. That’s why we’ll continue to attract professional
speakers from all over the world who members may never meet at a live event.
A
$20 yearly membership gets you access to members online, learning tips and a
half hour coaching session with yours truly. If you are local to Minnesota or
passing through, we invite you to attend our fun activities! Visit our site: https://www.meetup.com/Duluth-Professional-Speaking-Meetup/
Wow! When I first saw someone (a trainer) using this I was very, very impressed. The presentation is far more powerful than PowerPoint and kept my attention. This helps make anyone look professional!" Ter Scott, Public Speaker and Coach
